Stenoa’s Trauma platform enables real-time care coordination for patients with blunt or penetrating traumatic injuries requiring evaluation for possible transfer to a Level 1 trauma center. With powerful pre-hospital and spoke hospital integration capabilities, Stenoa streamlines and expedites triaging, remote management, and activation.
The Trauma platform has dedicated configuration settings, given its complexity. Trauma platform settings can be found at Settings > Trauma. Only Flow admins can view and modify the Trauma platform’s settings.
Trauma consult fields can be edited via the Flow editor to collect data on physiological indicators, anatomical injury patterns, and mechanism of injury. Case progress events cannot be modified.
Audio and video-triaging functionality can be enabled or disabled as part of the consult process by toggling the Video-triage functionality. If enabled, this will create a secure one-time audio/video conference for all Code Trauma consults. The case creator, recipient, and any other user roles specified under Video-triage will be able to join the call via the mobile app.
The default activation sequence for the Trauma platform incorporates an approval layer with the trauma team leader (TTL) prior to activation. For teams wishing to enable direct external activation (e.g. activating a code Trauma without the need for TTL approval), this can be toggled on by clicking Allow direct external activations.
The escalation policy can also be customized by adding or removing Consult recipients (Schedule or Shared account) and Activation recipients. Shared account coverage periods can be edited by clicking on the three dots besides the account in the escalation policy, and then Edit coverage.
The Trauma platform includes a real-time dashboard for Trauma analytics. The dashboard includes key performance indicators, case volume, case classification, and platform membership data. The following key performance indicators are automatically extracted for every Trauma case:
- TTA-to-Patient Arrival: Trauma team activation to patient arrival (min).
- Patient Arrival-to-TT Arrival: Patient arrival to trauma team arrival (min).
- Patient Arrival-to-CT: Patient arrival to CT scan (min).
- Patient Arrival-to-OR: Patient arrival to operative management (min).
- Total ED LOS: Total emergency department length of stay (min).
In addition to the dashboard, the Trauma platform has a data platform with a customized view of all case activity. Displays can be customized, and cases can be filtered and searched by any field.
