Stenoa’s ECMO platform enables real-time care coordination for cardiac arrest and pre-arrest patients across the pre-hospital, spoke, and hub hospital systems. The platform can be used for VA-ECMO and VV-ECMO team consults and activations. With powerful pre-hospital and spoke hospital integration capabilities, Stenoa is able to capture 100% of inbound cases, and streamline and expedite triaging and management.
The ECMO platform has dedicated configuration settings, given its complexity. ECMO platform settings can be found at Settings > ECMO. Only Flow admins can view and modify the ECMO platform’s settings.
The default activation sequence for the ECMO platform incorporates an approval layer with the ECMO team lead (defined as the Consult recipient) prior to team activation. For teams wishing to enable direct external activation (e.g. activating a code ECMO without the need for ECMO team lead approval), this can be toggled on by clicking Allow direct external activations.
The escalation policy can also be customized by adding or removing Consult recipients (Schedule or Shared account) and Activation recipients. Shared account coverage periods can be edited by clicking on the three dots besides the account in the escalation policy, and then Edit coverage.
The ECMO platform includes a real-time dashboard for ECMO analytics. The dashboard includes key performance indicators, case volume, case classification (by suspected etiology), and platform membership data. The following key performance indicators are automatically extracted for every ECPR case:
- Arrest-to-Activation: Cardiac arrest to case activation time (min).
- Activation-to-ECMO Team Arrival: Case activation to ECMO team arrival time (min).
- Arrival-to-Cannulation: ECMO team arrival to arterial and venous cannulation time (min).
- Cannulation-to-Full Flow: ECMO cannulation to full flow time (min).
- Arrest-to-Full Flow: Cardiac arrest to ECMO full flow time (min).
In addition to the dashboard, the ECMO platform has a data platform with a customized view of all case activity. Displays can be customized, and cases can be filtered and searched by any field.
