Overview

Stenoa’s Stroke platform enables real-time care coordination for patients with a suspected cerebrovascular accident that would benefit from endovascular thrombectomy (EVT). With powerful pre-hospital and spoke hospital integration capabilities, Stenoa streamlines and expedites triaging and management.

Configure

The Stroke platform has dedicated configuration settings, given its complexity. Stroke platform settings can be found at Settings > Stroke. Only Flow admins can view and modify the Stroke platform’s settings. Video-triaging functionality can be enabled or disabled as part of the consult process by toggling the Video-triage functionality. If enabled, this will create a secure one-time videoconference for all Code Stroke consults. The case creator, recipient, and any other user roles specified under Video-triage will be able to join the call via the mobile app. The default activation sequence for the Stroke platform incorporates an approval layer with the interventional neuroradiologist prior to team activation. For teams wishing to enable direct external activation (e.g. activating a code Stroke without the need for Stroke team lead approval), this can be toggled on by clicking Allow direct external activations. The escalation policy can also be customized by adding or removing Consult recipients (Schedule or Shared account) and Activation recipients. Shared account coverage periods can be edited by clicking on the three dots besides the account in the escalation policy, and then Edit coverage.

Platform

The Stroke platform includes a real-time dashboard for Stroke analytics. The dashboard includes key performance indicators, case volume, case classification, and platform membership data. The following key performance indicators are automatically extracted for every Stroke case:
  • Door-to-Triage: Patient arrival to triage time (min).
  • Triage-to-Neurologist Call: Patient triage to neurologist consult by emergency physician (min).
  • Neurologist Call-to-Evaluation: Neurologist call to neurologist evaluation (min).
  • Door-to-CT: Patient arrival to CT completion time (min).
  • CT-to-Needle Time: CT completion to intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) or EVT time (min).
  • Door-to-Needle Time: Patient arrival to IVT or EVT time (min).
In addition to the dashboard, the Stroke platform has a data platform with a customized view of all case activity. Displays can be customized, and cases can be filtered and searched by any field.
