Overview

Stenoa’s STEMI platform enables real-time care coordination for suspected acute myocardial infarction patients across pre-hospital, spoke, and hub hospital systems. With powerful pre-hospital integration and ECG transmission capabilities, Stenoa is able to capture 100% of inbound cases, and streamline and expedite diagnosis and management.

Configure

The STEMI platform has dedicated configuration settings, given its complexity. STEMI platform settings can be found at Settings > STEMI. Only Flow admins or Interventional Cardiology Service admins can view and modify the STEMI platform’s settings. The default activation sequence for the STEMI platform incorporates an approval layer with the interventional cardiologist prior to team activation. For teams wishing to enable direct external activation (e.g. activating a code STEMI without the need for interventional cardiology approval), this can be toggled on by clicking Allow direct external activations. The escalation policy can also be customized by adding or removing Consult recipients (Schedule or Shared account) and Activation recipients. Shared account coverage periods can be edited by clicking on the three dots besides the account in the escalation policy, and then Edit coverage. To manage ECG transmission settings, see ECG transmission.

Platform

The STEMI platform includes a real-time dashboard for STEMI analytics. The dashboard includes key performance indicators, case volume, case classification, and platform membership data. The following key performance indicators are automatically extracted from every case:
  • ECG-to-Activation: ECG (whether pre-hospital or in-hospital) to case activation time (min).
  • Activation-to-Cath Lab Ready: Case activation to cardiac catheterization lab team ready time (min).
  • Cath Lab-to-Device: Cardiac catheterization lab to device (percutaneous coronary intervention on culprit lesion) time (min).
  • ECG-to-Device: ECG to device time (min).
In addition to the dashboard, the STEMI platform has a data platform with a customized view of all case activity. Displays can be customized, and cases can be filtered and searched by any field.
