Overview
Stenoa supports automated cloud-based ECG ingestion from major EMS monitors/defibrillators (Zoll X Series® and Philips HeartStart MRx). Incoming telemetry messages are routed to a site-specific endpoint generated by Stenoa. Once received, Stenoa parses the ECG metadata, associates it with the correct workspace and service, and initiates the configured workflow. ECG transmissions can be activated per site and per clinical service, ensuring that each emergency department or receiving center handles only the data relevant to its operations. A transmission connection includes:- A site-specific endpoint for EMS providers.
- A Flow affiliation (e.g., Emergency Medicine) used for routing.
- Optional case creation rules.
- Tools for testing, validating, and monitoring endpoint activity.
Configure
Follow these steps to configure a new endpoint or modify an existing one:- To configure an ECG transmission endpoint, go to Settings > EMS Platform
- Click on New endpoint and select a Site. Only one endpoint can be created per Site.
- Review the Flow affiliation to ensure appropriate routing, and assign a Flow administrator. Flow admins can activate/deactivate the Flow, view and regenerate the endpoint, update affiliation settings, and manage EMS onboarding and testing.
- Copy the endpoint.
- Login to your EMS ECG distribution system and configure the endpoint.
- Test the endpoint by clicking Test endpoint.
- Review the escalation policy and add any additional recipients as needed by clicking Add recipient.
- Change the Flow status to Active.
Removing a connection
To temporarily deactivate the Flow, change the endpoint status to Paused. This stops all ECG processing but preserves the existing configuration. To delete an endpoint, scroll to the bottom of the Flow settings and click Delete. A pop-up window will appear confirming the intended action. This deletes the endpoint and disconnects EMS ECG traffic from the site.Use this when you need to fully sunset ECG ingestion for a Site or the endpoint has been compromised. Removing a connection cannot be undone. A new endpoint must be generated to resume ECG transmissions.
