Overview

Creating a new connection

Only network admins can create a new connection. The network with which you wish to create a connection must already have a workspace created on Stenoa. To create a new connection:
  1. Go to Workspace settings > Organization > Connections.
  2. Click Add affiliated network.
  3. Search the network by name, review the network information to ensure it is accurate, and click Add. A network tile will be created in the Connections tab with status marked as Pending approval.
  4. The receiving network admin will receive an email notification alerting them of the request, and will need to follow the instructions to confirm the connection.
Once the connection has been confirmed, both network admins will be notified via email, and the network tile’s status in the Connections tab will be updated to Active.

Managing connected flows

Once two networks are connected, the connection can be managed through inbound and outbound flows.

Inbound flow

Inbound flows represent flows that are hosted and managed by your network, and which you are providing the connected network access to. Inbound refers to the directionality of a created case on a flow (moving into your network). To add an inbound flow:
  1. Go to Workspace settings > Organization > Connections.
  2. Click on the desired connection. You will land in the Inbound flows tab by default.
  3. Click Add flow in the upper right corner.
  4. Search for the desired flow, review the flow details, and click Add. A row will be created in Inbound flows with the flow status marked as Pending approval.
  5. The receiving network admin will receive an email notification alerting them of the request, and will need to follow the instructions to confirm the flow connection.
  6. Once the flow connection has been confirmed, both network admins will be notified via email, and the flow’s status will be updated to Active.
You will need to repeat this process for every network with which you wish to share a given flow.

Outbound flow

Outbound flows represent flows that are hosted and managed by the connected network, and which a connected network has provided your network access to for creating cases. Outbound refers to the directionality of a created case on a flow (moving out of your network). To review and manage outbound flows:
  1. Go to Workspace settings > Organization > Connections.
  2. Click on the desired connection.
  3. Click on the Outbound flows tab.
  4. By clicking on the desired flow, a sidebar will appear confirming the flow connection details.

Deleting a flow connection

To delete a connected flow:
  1. Click on the desired flow connection.
  2. Click on the three dots besides the flow’s name.
  3. Click Delete network connection.
  4. Confirm the deletion by clicking delete.
Deleting an active inbound flow connection will prevent users from the connected network from creating cases within your network on that flow.Deleting an active outbound flow connection will prevent users from your network from creating cases with a connected network on that flow.Data history is preserved in either case, however ongoing case data may be disrupted.

Deleting a connection

Only network admins can delete a connection. To delete a connection:
  1. Go to Workspace settings > Organization > Connections.
  2. Click on the three dots besides the desired network tile.
  3. Click Delete connection.
  4. Confirm the deletion by typing DELETE and clicking Delete.
Deleting an active network connection will also delete all active inbound and outbound flow connections, interrupting care coordination on Stenoa. Make sure this action is intended and that both workspaces members are duly notified prior to proceeding.
