Critical alerts

As a platform powering lifesaving care, Stenoa maintains special permission Critical Alert entitlements with Apple (Apple Inc.) and high-priority notification channels with Android (Google LLC). These channels allow us to send high-priority push notifications that override your mute switch and Do Not Disturb settings. To ensure these are properly configured, click on your profile in the top right corner of your mobile app, then click Notifications, and verify that the auto-check is green. To adjust your Critical Alert volume, slide and confirm the slider at the bottom of your screen. A test notification will be triggered upon confirmation. Stenoa automatically sends critical alerts for all critical Flow Case activations or de-activations, as well as for non-critical Flows that enable the discretionary status of a critical event upon Case creation.

Push notifications

You will always be notified of all critical notifications on Stenoa. Optionally, you can configure your preferences for the delivery of non-critical push notifications by toggling Case updates or Case acknowledgments. Case update notifications will inform you when a Case status or progress has been updated. Case acknowledgments will notify you when a team member on a Case has confirmed their awareness or en-route status. It is not possible to cancel push notifications for chat messages or on-call shift updates.

Pager

If you still use a pager, Stenoa supports the ability to configure and receive all critical alerts on your pager.

Notification timing

Mobile, web, SMS, phone, and pager notifications are sent in real-time. Emails are sent with time delays, based on their urgency.

Subscribe to a Case

Being subscribed to a Case will determine whether you will be notified about all related Case status, details, and chat updates. When a Case is created on a Flow that includes your Schedule in its escalation policy, Stenoa will automatically assign the Case to you whenever you are on-call for that Schedule. To manually subscribe to a Case, open the Case and confirm your status as en-route or aware. You will subsequently be notified about all related Case events.
